Who is Metrowest Blue & Beyond?

​

We are an experienced group of political activists based in the MetroWest Region of Eastern Massachusetts, a primarily blue state. We protect our democracy by providing financial and volunteer support to grassroots organizations in key swing states to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Mission:

​

To assure that Democrats occupy the U.S. Presidency and a hold a majority in the U.S. Senate and House.

Strategy:

​

MWBB identifies organizations in key swing states where there are critical House and Senate toss-up elections or where President Biden's race is close but winnable. These organizations hire young, local adults who have established relationships in their neighborhood. Using door knocking, these organizers register voters and get out the vote.

 

MWBB coordinates meetings between these organizations and our network of potential donors and volunteers. During our online meetings, the organizations describe their work and list fundraising and volunteer goals. MWBB then makes it easy for donors to give directly to that organization and/or to provide volunteer assistance through phone banking, writing postcards, etc. 100% of donations are provided to the organizations we support - MWBB is an all-volunteer group.

Meeting the Target Organizations and Organizers

In this election cycle, MWBB is supporting organizations in the key swing states of Arizona, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

In each of these three target states for 2024, MWBB  gives the selected grassroots organization an opportunity,  through live zoom presentations, to let our selected activist organizations share with our donors and/or potential donors what the target organization does, how it does it and something about the races critical to achieving a Democratic House, Senate and Presidency.  MWBB then enables donors to donate directly to that organization and/or to volunteer through phone banking, postcarding, etc.

Our Step-by Step Approach:

 

MWB&B begins by doing the necessary research to identify key states in which the President, a Democratic U.S Senator, and/or one or more Democratic Members of Congress are at risk of losing their seat or a viable Democratic challenger is challenging a Republican incumbent. 

 

Then MWBB identifies one or more organizations within one of our three selected states that is deserving of your support by reason of its voter registration and “get out the vote” efforts.  MWBB then schedules an online event for those organizations to:

• Provide highlights about the organization, the federal “swing” races in that state, its record of voter engagement and its plans for the 2024 elections in that state ;

• Explain which race(s) is/are critical for federal Democrats in that state and why;

• Outline the organization’s capacities and what process it employs to enhance voter registration and engagement in that state’s most critical federal election(s);   

• Answer questions from MWBB’s potential donors before, during and after their zoom presentation; 

• Explain how to donate and/or volunteer and how and when to participate in any future events. 

 

 (Note that 100% of all funds raised go directly to the selected organization.  MWBB is an all-volunteer organization)

In examining the electoral map it is clear that North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Arizona will be critical to winning the House, Senate and White House so MWBB has chosen those three states on which to focus its efforts for this election cycle.​
