MWBB is supporting Turn PA Blue and the New Pennsylvania Project, both of which focus on identifying, registering and getting-out-the-vote for potential voters in marginalized communities and critical voting districts.

Pennsylvania will once again be a key battleground state in the upcoming presidential election. Biden/Harris carried Pennsylvania by only 80,555 votes in 2020. With your help, MWBB will provide support to the New Pennsylvania Project and Turn PA Blue. These two organizations have an excellent track record of identifying, registering and getting-out-the-vote for potential voters in marginalized and critically-important communities in Pennsylvania.

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) was founded to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate so it reflects Pennsylvania’s demographically changing population. NPP engages and empowers young residents and those living in underrepresented and often neglected communities of color and immigrant communities. NPP registers people in these communities to vote, provides education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilizes the electorate to vote in every election. NPP is modeled after the New Georgia Project (NGP) founded by Nsé Ufot and Stacey Abrams. Its targeted constituencies live in the Capital region (Harrisburg), Northeastern PA, Bucks and Allegheny counties, and several areas in and around Philadelphia. https://www.newpaproject.org

Turn PA Blue (TPAB): with 6,000 volunteers on the ground, TPAB is a hub for connecting and mobilizing grassroots groups, party committees, and out-of-state activists. Whittling down the GOP’s state legislative majority is a top priority for TPAB, which vets and raises funds for top candidates. Volunteers engage in deep canvassing “at the doors” to better understand local issues and develop messaging that resonates with voters. Turn PA Blue’s voter outreach efforts (more than 5 million contacts in 2020) helped the Biden-Harris ticket carry the state by 80,555 votes.

The New Pennsylvania Project and Turn PA Blue need to be able to ramp up NOW to defend voting rights in Pennsylvania, and to fund their voter engagement and mobilization programs. Your support is critical to their success.

Please join us in supporting this work. Donations of any amount are welcome.
